Its More Than Just Things That Go Bump in the Night
When foot steps are heard in the attic, or things go bump in the night,
the thought of unseen earthbound visitors crosses the mind, if only
briefly, of
even the most hardened skeptic.
The concept of ESA has added a new dimension to the understanding of
earthbound spirits, and their interactions with the living.
With ESA we concern ourselves with the footsteps in the attic of the
mind,
and the things that go bump in our hearts.
Attachment is initially made through an opening in the aura or
countenance surrounding the body of a living person. This individual
energy field protects
us from such invasions, but under certain circumstances it can be
weakened and fail.
This happens as a result of a number of factors. A habit of excessive or
prolonged participation in dark emotions such as anger, fear, worry,
envy, jealousy, hatred, etc. can cause this protection to fail.
The
famous story of Cain and Abel is an excellent example of this. Cain
became exceedingly angry towards, and jealous of, his brother Abel.
The
book of Genesis illustrates this process perfectly when it states,
“And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.”
It is recorded that after his countenance had fallen, he rose up against
Abel
and murdered him.
In other words, he became greatly angry and his countenance failed. He
was then open to dark spiritual invasion, through which he was prompted
to kill his brother.
Another way the aura can be compromised is through excessive use of drugs
and/or alcohol.
In his book, “Return from Tomorrow”, George Ritchie
recounts his near-death experience while battling pneumonia in an
army hospital during WWII. During his tour of the spirit plane that
surrounds us, he was taken to a bar. There he watched in amazement as
disembodied spirits futilely fought over and tried to consume the
alcoholic beverages of the living patrons.
He observed that the living were “surrounded by a faint luminous glow”,
and when they drank to excess, this light that encapsulated them would
tear open. He watched in horror, as the earthbound spirits dove at these
openings and disappeared. Obviously attaching to the person in an
attempt to gain a vehicle through which to drink.
While there are other conditions through which attachment may be
achieved, these two
categories
seem to be the most predominant culprits.
