Earthbound Spirit Attachment

A condition that is a major contributor to most mental and emotional conditions, and that interferes greatly with the reception of this celestial light and guidance is Earthbound Spirit Attachment or ESA.

It is believed that some people after they have died, for one reason or another, do not move on to the next level of existence or “the spirit world”. In other words, the spirits of these deceased humans remain.

It is also believed that, under certain circumstances, some of these earthbound spirits have the ability to attach to, and then manipulate and interfere with those that are still alive. So by some mechanism these disembodied spirits are able to attach themselves to the living, and then begin to exert varying levels of influence over their behavior.

Why They Remain

Many remain do to ignorance, fear or confusion. Most are not aware that they have died. Of those that are aware, some are afraid, do to certain beliefs or doctrines. For example, a spirit may avoid crossing over because of a fear of “going to hell”.

Conversely, some may remain do to a lack of understanding, or an absence of a belief in an afterlife. Some spirits stay bound to the earth do to addictions to things such as alcohol, drugs, smoking, sex, or even food.  Spirit addicts tend to stalk and cluster around living addicts and the places that they frequent, attempting to experience again what was once the dominant theme of their lives. Others appear to be marooned because they harbor extreme negative emotions such as anger, fear, guilt, resentment, worry, the desire for vengeance, and other destructive emotions. Finally some remain because of an unhealthy preoccupation or obsession with a person, location, or activity.

Why They Attach to the Living

Earthbounds cannot continue to pursue their addictions and passions without a physical body so attaching to, and controlling a living host becomes a priority. Once an attachment has been made, the entity merges fully, or partially with the subconscious mind of the host.

The parasitic spirit then begins to exert varying degrees of control over the processes of thought, behavior, emotions, and even the physical body. The host then begins to experience the thoughts, cravings, drives, and emotions of the attached entity, believing that they are their own.

If the entity was addicted to drugs or alcohol in life, the host may begin to crave them as well. If prone to anger, fear, worry, contention, or any other negative behavior, the host is likely to follow. If the spirit died in a state of weakness, pain or disease, over time the host can develop those same pains, and ailments on a physical level.

How They Attach to the Living

The human body has a defensive shield, known as the countenance or aura, that provides protection from such invasions. This aura recedes under certain conditions. Excessive use of such substances as alcohol or drugs can lower this protection. Additionally, dark emotions such as anger, fear, worry, etc. can cause a compromise through which attachment may be achieved.

Some of the symptoms of ESA are:

  • Character Change or
    Mood Swings
  • Excessive State of Anger,
    Worry, or Fear
  • Sudden Onset of Anxiety
    or Depression
  • Onset of Physical Problems with No Obvious Cause
  • Abuse of drugs and/or alcohol

  • Low Energy Level
  • A Lack of Focus or Concentration
